Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Molding and Casting Worker to join our company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing, pouring, and finishing molds, primarily working with materials such as gypsum or cement, to create high-quality products that meet company standards. This role requires precision, adherence to safety protocols, and an eye for detail to ensure consistent and flawless outputs. Key Responsibilities: Mold Preparation and Cleaning: Prepare and clean molds thoroughly before each casting session, ensuring they are free from any residue or imperfections that could affect product quality. Material Mixing: Accurately mix gypsum, plaster, or other casting materials to specified ratios, maintaining consistency to meet production standards and achieve desired strength and finish. Pouring and Casting: Carefully pour mixed materials into molds, taking steps to prevent air bubbles or imperfections that may compromise the cast quality. Demolding, Sanding, and Finishing: Safely remove cast items from molds once set, performing sanding and finishing tasks as necessary to achieve smooth, professional results that meet quality standards. Coating with Protective Fluid: Apply protective coatings to finished items as specified, ensuring a durable and long-lasting finish while enhancing the appearance and resilience of the final product. Safety and Organization: Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized workspace, handling tools and materials responsibly to ensure a safe work environment. Qualifications: Previous experience in molding, casting, or a similar field is preferred. Ability to follow instructions and work accurately with measurements and materials. Physical stamina to handle lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality results. Additional Skills: Knowledge of different types of casting materials (preferably gypsum). Experience with tools for sanding, polishing, and minor mold repair is a plus.
