The Mechanical Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical systems and production equipment within a cosmetics manufacturing environment. The role requires ensuring minimal downtime, maximum efficiency, and compliance with safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine and preventive maintenance on production lines, packaging machines, mixers, conveyors, and other cosmetic manufacturing equipment.
Diagnose mechanical issues and implement effective repairs to reduce downtime and maintain production flow.
Support equipment setup, changeovers, and calibration activities to ensure smooth operation of filling and packaging lines.
Work closely with the production team to respond promptly to machine breakdowns and production issues.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and logs for all equipment and repair activities.
Assist in equipment installation and commissioning of new machinery.
Follow safety procedures and use proper personal protective equipment (PPE) while working.
Ensure compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and plant efficiency.
Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with 5S principles.
Qualifications and Skills:
Technical diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
3+ years of experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in a cosmetics, food, or pharmaceutical factory.
